2008 Review of Books: Fiction

Best of 2008 (year read, not necessarily year of publication):

Now You’re One of Us by Asa Nonami. I reviewed this title for Apex Online and it ranks as my favorite fiction book of the year.

Other notable fiction reads:
Dirty Martini by JA Konrath

The Walking Dead vol. 1-4 by Robert Kirkman (my first ever graphic novel read)

Heartshaped Box by Joe Hill. I went into this with low expectations, which was for the best. Not as ground breaking as many claimed, but a damn fine first novel.

Disappointments:
Old Flames by Jack Ketchum

The Harrowing by Alexandra Sokoloff

Ghost Walk by Brian Keene

World Without End by Ken Follett (I was really expecting a lot from this, considering the novel it follows in the storyline. It’s the most disappointing novel of its length I’ve ever completed. Still, an average read).
