Dark Ages America

Just finished reading this cultural commentary. Very bleak. But, I can’t really argue against much of what Morris Berman states. A poignant quote he used, from Lord Byron’s “Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage”

“There is the moral of all human tales;

‘Tis but the same rehearsal of the past,

First freedom and then Glory–when that fails,

Wealth, vice, corruption,–barbarism at Last”

So, where are we in this spectrum?

Can you tell I’m writing an apocalyptic tale?
